Listening improves faster when practice is frequent, focused and connected to language you can actually reuse. Choose short audio, listen once for the main idea, listen again for details and then repeat useful phrases aloud.
Keep each session focused
Ten to twenty minutes of attentive listening can be more useful than leaving French audio in the background for hours.
Connect listening to speaking
After listening, summarize what you understood and reuse two or three expressions in your own sentences.
